Staas Nelis has been working as a junior producer at Lemming Film since 2026, where he's involved in the development and production of series and films.

Staas graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy and previously interned at Horizon Film.
During the Academy’s producer program he developed original series pitches for various production companies, including ITV Studios.

For his graduation projects, he produced the children’s film The Little Hotel Detective and the dark comedy DANGLING.
Both shorts were selected for several festivals, including the Netherlands Film Festival, Go Short, and Screamfest LA. The Little Hotel Detective received the Junior Jury Award at Cinekid.
In addition, he teamed up with Amazon Prime Video to release his graduation projects, which are notable as the first student films on the streamer's platform.
