In this documentary Suzanne Raes registers the difficult communication between doctor and patient. Raes filmed at surgery department of the Academic Hospital of Amsterdam and had the opportunity to join several conversations at the hospital beds. She observes how these conversations proceed and where the misunderstandings or difficulties exist. Often there is a big gap between the doctors intention and the patients understanding of the conversation. She shows both sides of the dialogue without judging.
